wouldn’t it be nice?

my mom and i went to see the beach boys on a summer afternoon. i rode my bike there. the summer and sweet sweet vacation were mine. it may or may not have been my birthday. concerts for me are very odd things. this one was no different. mike love came out doing an odd finger pointing move to “get the crowd into it”. into what? into a chuck berry cover. i think it was back in the usa. chuck berry plays it ferociously. the beach boys did not. now it was time for a few beach balls to come out so that unsuspecting concert goers could get bopped in the head from behind. so it was good people watching with an unusual soundtrack. i took out my cell phone and made notes to create this commemorative painting.
